Arrival to Programs

  • Teachers will receive an electronic copy list of their students participating in Enrichment programs. They are asked but NOT required to remind students to attend their programs. Students should arrive to the GYM after school to meet their instructor and our On-Site Coordinator. We also ask parents to remind their children each morning.
  • Please also feel free to remind teachers and/or Extended Day Care staff that your child will be attending class.

Dismissals from Programs

It is imperative that you indicate the dismissal arrangements for your child on the registration form. Please note that it is not permissible to be late for pick-up. If you are late more than two times, your child will no longer be able to participate in the program. Please be aware that school personnel will not be available at this time to supervise your child.

  • Parent Pick-Up: Parents/caregivers must pick up children promptly at the KINDER playground (left of the front entrance). Parent/caregivers must sign their child out with their program instructor.
  • Extended Day Care: Students attending Extended Day Care after school will be escorted to their location to sign back in. Please note: Students MUST be signed back in to Extended Day Care even if a parent or caregiver will be picking them up after programs.
  • Approved Walkers: Students will be released to leave on their own following class. Parents must indicate this at the time of registration acknowledging that the program instructor is permitted to release this student without a parent signature after programs. Any requests after registration should be submitted in writing to Baroody Camps.

Changes to dismissal: The On-Site Programs Coordinator will provide each Taylor teacher and each after-school enrichment programs instructor with a list of children participating in the various enrichment programs along with their dismissal instructions. You are responsible for notifying Baroody Camps of any changes to your child’s regular dismissal process from his/her after-school program.

Snacks & Allergies

  • Snacks are allowed to be eaten before class starts and in the first 5-10 minutes of the program if it is not a disruption to the class. Allergy lists will be given to each instructor and should be kept for the duration of the session. **All snack must be NUT-FREE**

  • Note: We do not have access to the health office during Enrichment programs.

Standards of Behavior

  • We want to ensure that all students participating in the before and after-school enrichment programs enjoy the experience. In order for this to happen, it is expected that all students will conform to regular Taylor ES classroom and school rules and regulations while attending a program. The providers are all experienced Instructors and will use accepted classroom management techniques to allow misbehaving children to adjust. If a child continues to have difficulties, he or she will be removed from the class and be placed with the On-Site Programs Coordinator who will decide if and when to return the child to class that day. The On-Site Programs Coordinator will also inform the parents about the situation.
  • If a child is removed from a class a second time, that child will be withdrawn from that class for the remainder of the session. The School will be informed of this decision. No partial refunds will be given in these situations. We look to all parents to support our class providers so that all children can enjoy the after-school classes.

  • Certain behaviors will not be tolerated.  These behaviors may include, but are not limited to: consistent disruption in class; any inappropriate physical contact (i.e. hitting, kicking); blatant disrespect toward the Instructor or other students; a refusal to listen to Instructions; the use of inappropriate language; and/or destruction of property.
  • Here at Baroody Camps, we want to foster a learning environment where all students feel safe and secure. With this being said, any incidents of bullying including, but not limited to: name calling, assault of any kind, verbal and nonverbal threats, throwing objects, cornering other students and/or intimidating behaviors, taunting, discriminatory statements or behavior, or exclusion from activities will result in the first and only warning. After the first warning, any future behavioral issues will result in immediate removal from the class for the remainder of the session. Baroody Camps will not offer any partial refunds in these situations.Enforcement of this policy is at the discretion of Baroody Camps and their partners.
